29/02/2012 : Tally License goes in educational mode

Due to leap year, all over the India whoever using Tally all are facing same error/problem.

Tally licnse goes in education mode, Tally Start screen comes when we start Tally and ask for activation or reactivation.

Solution : Change your system date to 01/03/2012 and then re-activate your Tally license once.
It will work properly in licese mode.

    Once having followed the solution that is –
    ” … Change your system date to 01/03/2012 and then re-activate your Tally license once.It will work properly in license mode … ”

    Tally is reactivated OK, BUT, Voucher entry stops saving after accepting few vouchers – it does not save or at times it freezes on the date field!

    Solution is urgently awaited as this is resulting in huge remuneration loss to many companies.

  • I agree with Tanmoy, we have also experienced this and is causing a total standstill in our company.

    I will quote that as Tanmoy said

    Not only that, it is earning a VERY BAD NAME for Tally !

    Tally is believed to be a robust and most versatile software, how this pitty issue has been ovelooked by the development team.

    We were seriously thinking of using customized Tally for our Hospital, but now having seen and experienced this type of silly problem, we will have to drop the idea of computerizing our entire Hospital with Tally.

    Tally people better pull up their socks now.

    ERROR CODE = 803 SYSTEM ERROR CODE=10060 COULD NOT CONNECT TO THE TALLY SERVER TO COMPLETE THIS OPERATION TALLY SERVER HAS NOT RESPONDED PROPERLY AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME AND TRY AND TRY

  • I think it is a bug crept in tally erp 9 release 3.3, but they are not admitting it.
    Many companies still facing lot of difficulties due to this. In future they should avoid this type of technical fault.

  • we have forgot the tally.net password. we have asked for reset password request. But so far we have not received the email for resetting password.we are suffering to complete the day’s work today

    Due to too much load on Tally Server today you are not getting a mail form Tally Solutions Pvt ltd.
    Try to reset now you will get a mail

    Due to too much load in Tally Server you were getting such error,
    Today every one was trying to re-activate the license that why such error was getting by everyone.

    Try it after some time it will resolve

  • It is shame for tally that they dont care about leap year… I hope indian companies does not file case against tally.. goenka become bankrupt………..

    It not a pitty that today what happen its a hacking that to be done on tally server but by the managing the license policy & secure it with more securities it require to re- activate tally on 1-3-2012, bcoz hackers hack license for 29-2-2012, now it is in control by the best support team of Tally solution pvt ltd & their dedicated partner who make it possible to manage all thing & get back to gud situation.

    I know, it harmed many busiiness houses, we make sorry for it but we recover for this problem at 10:30 Am & i like to announce that most of the problem is due to most of us not preserve the Tally.net password becoz of it we suffer other wise tally gave the solution at 10:30 am early business hour..

    so i congrats tally that they manage this pressure & handel all tally user with early solution

    i Think pirated user must recognize it that if it happen with them their is no Tally Team who help them for their business

  • Today we called tally bangalore office.
    They are asking to change the date and reactivate license with admin email ID.
    But it showing some Code error.
    What is the solution

    Due to too much re-activation at same time Tally Server get hangs thats why you were geting such error,
    Try to re-open Tally and do the re-activation in New Release 3.31

  • it is happening in all leap years, but tally do not have any pre-cautionary solution for it. Pirated tally users are better then licensed tally users !!!

  • Hi i m using registerd version of indian tally now i came to singapore for 1 month & just now i was working in tally its gone in educational mode & when i try to reactivate my license its showing error
    please give me solution how to reactivate this tally license

  • Dear Dhananjay,

    Licensed which you purchased that is Indian Version of Tally.ERP 9. It will work only in India.
    Out side the India International version of Tally will work.

  • I am still in india with indian Version of tally just purchased in July 2016.

    Facing problem while working it stops automatically on date and shows education mode.

    what to do boss ? please prove my selection was right while chosen tally among erps

  • Dear Rajeev,

    If your software regularly goes in educational mode please check your system date. Your computer system date should be upto date.
    If you using license version license number should display in License Pannel (at the bottom).
    If you are facing this problem in client machine then please check your network connection.

  • We updated the windows last week. After installing it’s showing the activation form. But it’s not activating while I give serial number and key. An error code showing as couldn’t activate.

  • Dear Mss,

    Your license is not surrendered from Tally server. First surrender your license then try to reactivate.
    For surrender the license please follow the steps
    1. Open the Tally.ERP 9
    2. Press Ctrl + K (Control Centre)
    3. Type your Tally.NET ID and Password
    4. Go to > License Management and Press Enter, You will see status of your license is Active, Press space bar key in Status field. You will see the option “Surrender”. Select the Surrender option and Press Enter.
    5. Press Esc Key and Y key to come out from Control Centre

    Now try to reactivate your license with Tally.NET ID and Password
